NJCU's 1st Annual Silent Auction for Hope
to benefit the American Cancer Society

The Relay for Life Athletics Team will hold its first annual silent auction for hope to benefit the American Cancer Society. Silent auction works will be exhibited Saturday, April 22nd through Friday, May 5th, in NJCU’s Michael Gilligan Student Union Art Gallery, 2039 Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City. An opening reception will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25th. Bids may be placed during gallery hours, which are 12Noon to 2PM and 4pm-6pm, Monday through Friday. Bids will close on Friday, May 5th at 2:00 p.m. and winners will be contacted by e-mail.
Among the artists whose works will be auctioned are, Olga Mercedes Bautista, Monica Chavarria, Ted Connolly, Paul Gargiulo, Ricardo Fonseca, Stephanie Herrera, Ben Jones, Lou Tiscornia, Rob Quinones, Sergio Villamizar, and many others.
All proceed will go to assist in the efforts of the American Cancer Society whose mission is to eliminate cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service. We are working on a city-wide campaign in support of the ACS that will culminate in a Relay for Life event at the John Moore Athletic Center on Friday April 28 from 6p.m.- Midnight.
